Congratulations to the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester Women's Chorus on an excellent year of beautiful and moving music making. It was such a pleasure to hear their voices at so many different venues for such diverse audiences. From their concerts at Kilbourn Hall to their performance at the Lutheran Reformation Church, from their collaboration with various women's choruses at the University of Syracuse to their opening of the Women in Music Festival in Eastman's Lowry Hall, they improved their ensemble skills and inspired audiences. Furthermore, they expanded their knowledge vocal repertoire and versatility through their exploration of musical genre, from Verdi to Britten and from Brahms to Spirituals and folksongs. It will be a treat to see how the chorus will develop over the coming years.
